Salah wants to break Liverpool record!

Mohamed Salah became only the third Liverpool player to score 40 goals in a season in all competitions as they claimed a comfortable 3-0 victory at home to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Merseyside-based front line has dominated headlines this season with their attacking displays that have seen them help Liverpool both domestically and in Europe. "I'm sure he'll keep doing that for the rest of the season". "So each goal for me, or for anyone else is to try to help the team".

To put that into some kind of perspective, Bob Paisley's first three seasons as manager delivered 280 goals in a period quite possibly the zenith of the club's history, as they won two league titles, a UEFA Cup and the European Cup for the first time.

He is of course leading the race to win the Premier League golden boot, but refused to be drawn on the situation surrounding Harry Kane's "goal" against Stoke, which was accredited to him on appeal, despite little evidence to suggest that he actually touched the ball.

"It is a great feeling, of course it is a great feeling, but in the end I am just happy to score and help the team", the Egypt worldwide told reporters.

The goal also saw the Egypt global reach the 40-goal mark across all competitions; a feat that he achieved in just 45 games.

How much is winning the Premier League Golden Boot in your thoughts? I can not lie - it is in my mind. I try to score every game to help the team and to get the points. I am happy to have this feeling, you know?

The Egypt global is on track to win the Premier League Golden Boot, while he has helped his side into the Champions League semi-finals. It's like that, but in the end we play as a team.

Klopp showed his intent from the off at Anfield by making just one change from the side that beat City 2-1 at the Etihad in midweek as captain Jordan Henderson returned from suspension. Now we still have four games and they (Tottenham) have five or six games so I have to think about my games and we see.
