Mills already brought in another one of his Princeton teammates to run New York's player development - Craig Robinson - and, according to a Garden source, still would like to bring Blatt to the Knicks' sideline. He was teammates at Princeton with Knicks' president Steve Mills, which made Blatt a rumored candidate for the NY before Hornacek was hired.

Since being selected by the Knicks No. 4 overall in the 2015 NBA Draft, Porzingis is now looking at his fourth head coach in four seasons with New York: Derek Fisher, Kurt Rambis, Jeff Hornacek, and whoever the Knicks decide to hire next.

Metta inked a two-year deal with the Knicks in 2013; however, the team waived the National Basketball Association veteran less than a year later after buying out his contract.

Moments before the Cleveland Cavaliers took the court for their 2018 NBA Playoffs opener, one of their former head coaches found himself in the news.

Before meeting with Mills and Perry on Saturday, Porzingis, 22, reiterated that he wants to remain in NY long term.

According to Wojnarowski, the Knicks are also expected to meet with David Fizdale, Mark Jackson and Jerry Stackhouse. "I hope they call me".

While speaking to reporters on Saturday, Porzingis talked about trusting the front office in wake of the team's coaching search.

The Knicks and Porzingis are entering a pivotal offseason.

Porzingis will be a restricted free agent in 2019 but could have a $150 million contract extension this summer, which may not happen now because of his season-ending ACL tear. The organization seemed comfortable with the idea of making that offer before Porzingis' injury. "I want to come back more fluid".
