Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping implored Conor McGregor to "lose the f-king chip on [his] shoulder" following the MMA star's arrest in Brooklyn last week.

UFC President Dana White said Friday he spoke to McGregor via text and the brawler said the confrontation "had to be done".

Just last week, McGregor made headlines when he essentially invaded the Barclays Center following a media day for UFC 223 last Saturday (April 7, 2018) in Brooklyn, New York. Lobov was later withdrawn from the UFC 223 fight card for his part in the retaliatory bus attack. According to NY sentencing guidelines, the two felonies could be punishable by up to 11 years in prison.

Alvarez has shown on countless occasions that he possesses the heart and determination necessary to make it a hard night for anyone but with several lightweights vying for a shot at the newly-crowned champ, perhaps Eddie will need one more big name win to establish himself as the top-contender at 155lbs. I told you before I was going to make him humble.

"But for me, it was like, 'Wow, what if we really trained for five rounds, man?' It would've been a totally different ballgame". "But outside the ring, you have to carry yourself like a gentleman".

"This is the most disgusting thing that has ever happened in the history of the company", he said. The topic of who he would fight next naturally came up, and obvious foils like Tony Ferguson and Conor McGregor weren't the first names on his mind.

McGregor's manager issued a statement on Saturday saying there was "misinformation" circulating about the Irish superstar. You see Conor go out there and doing this like what the hell are you doing? Everyone knows it. He can run to Georges or run to Conor or run to whoever, I'm the guy.

McGregor and his teammates were not allowed at Barclays Center by the UFC for Saturday's event. Olivier Aubin-Mercier arrived as the 'Canadian Gangster.' Yet outside the cage, one particularly notable occurrence was the performance of UFC color commentator Joe Rogan. The matter is in the hands of law enforcement and I can not really say more. "To focus on this show was insane".

However, Conor McGregor's manager Audie Attar is confident that McGregor will bounce back from this meltdown.

The whole event was captured on video showing McGregor tossing a trolley and other items at the bus.
