Stephen Colbert ripped into to Kanye West, calling him "Kellyanne Kanye", on Wednesday after the rapper doubled down on his support for President Donald Trump. West, who was hospitalized in November 2016 due to exhaustion, has now come under fire after his recent return to Twitter for tweeting his support for US President Donald Trump.

Ultimately Kim supported Hillary Clinton - and was, according to reports, "disgusted" with Kanye when he went to Trump Tower after the victory.

"He said 'I do love Donald Trump, '" Ebro said on his radio show. That's what makes us individuals.

Following West's tweets on Wednesday, his wife and mother of his three children, Kim Kardashian, also took to Twitter to defend her husband.

As part of Kanye West's latest freakish Twitter rant, the rapper addressed long-running jokes that he is trapped in "the sunken place" - a phrase made popular by the Oscar winning movie.

Despite Kim's defence of Kanye, it appears many don't share his views on Trump, which have reportedly cost him at least nine million followers.

He has, however, tweeted many times about being a free thinker and not following crowds - hinting that his eclectic political diatribes are not likely to end. "And we have the right to independent thought".

With a successful musical career and fashion line already to his name, Colbert suggested West might be looking to hop into another line of work.

The show even mocked up an idea of what that album's cover could look like, showing Trump wearing a side-facing MAGA hat.

At that point, she also claimed not to know which party Kanye would be voting for, saying 'maybe Democrats?'.

Kim then jumped onto her Twitter page to blogs and publications for "trying to demonise" the rapper by weighing in on his tweets.

Jimmy Kimmel also made reference to West's shot at a cabinet position, joking: "And just like that, Kanye West became our new Secretary of State".

It's unclear what's going on with West's series of tweets, but Kardashian was quick to bash the media for bringing mental health into the conversation. "And I independently think that Kanye has lost his mind", Colbert said.
