"If we can't stand up now for this 8 year old girl regardless of our gender, caste, colour or religion then we don't stand for anything in this world. not even humanity. makes me sick to the stomach", writes a tennis champion Sania Mirza. But she will not be denied justice.

Popular actress Swara Bhasker too joined the league and tweeted, "An 8 year old girl was gangraped & murdered in a temple because she belonged to a Muslim tribe that Hindu right wing goons wanted evicted from their area!" Trading markets and schools closed following a bandh call was given by Jammu High Court Bar Association (JHCBA) to protest against the growing illegal presence of Rohingyas and Bangladeshi nationals, while also demanding a CBI probe into the Kathua rape-cum-murder. Reports said that the police had to meet Kathua's Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) late Monday night to submit the charge sheet.

This time, the cricketer has posted a couple of tweets about the two rape case incidents - Kathua and Unnao.

"The officer in question has faced murder and rape allegations in the past".

However, the incident took a unusual turn later when large number of local Hindus took to the streets, waving the national Indian national flag and demanding unconditional release of the main accused Deepak Khajuria who is a Special Police Officer (SPO).

Personalities such as Sania Mirza, Akshay Kumar, Farhan Akhtar and Abhishek Bachchan took to social media to condemn the two brutal incidents that have shocked the nation.

"We have arrested SPO Deepak Khajuria for his involvement in the case of kidnapping and killing of the minor girl", Additional Director General of Crime Branch, Alok Puri said. Reportedly an alcoholic and drug user, he is believed to have strangulated the girl before smashing her face with a stone. "The inaction on the part of Chief Minister amounts to shielding the them (Ministers)", he said.

After several days of hue and cry over the matter, an FIR was registered against Sengar at Makhi police station in Unnao under several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the POCSO Act on Thursday.
