The future of Nokia phones looks bright, as the company has confirmed that all its Android phones will be receiving the Android 8.0 update.

HMD Global has taken over the leadership when it comes to software updates.

It runs the latest Android Oreo (Go edition), a version of Android for devices with 1GB RAM or less.

Shaun Durandt, HMD Global General Manager, said as the value market leader in feature phones, it understood the barriers and challenges people faced when it came to the step up to a smartphone, hence the firm had through the Nokia 1 made its "most accessible smartphone ever".

Among 10 analysts covering Nokia Corp (NYSE:NOK), 3 have Buy rating, 0 Sell and 7 Hold.

The Nokia 3 was the last remaining device of the three that the Finnish company launched in Kenya in July past year. It is impressive that Nokia is updating even its low-end phones like the Nokia 3, which can not be said for other OEMs. As for optics, there is an 8-megapixel camera on both the rear panel and at the front while the whole package is backed by a 2650mAh battery.

For the unknown, the Nokia 3 was first unveiled during MWC 2017, before being launched in India in June.

With Android Oreo now available on the Nokia 3 devices, you can enjoy all the latest features exactly as Google intended, which includes Picture-in-Picture mode and 60 new emojis in order to express yourself better, all of which comes at an accessible price point of Rs. 9,499. Along with regular security updates, the Nokia 7 Plus is also guaranteed to receive two years of OS upgrades. Another part of the Changelog is the Bluetooth battery percentages and improved navigation buttons for saving the battery.
