Per reports, Worley was tasered after he became "combative" with Philadelphia police and was arrested around 6 AM Sunday morning.

Officers responded to Broad and Pattison Sunday morning, where they found Worley asleep in his vehicle on the highway. However, according to Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Inquirer, "it is likely" that the Eagles will release Worley following the incident.

Worley was traded to the Eagles for wide receiver Torrey Smith in March.

Per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the incident took place near the Eagles' team facility. Worley started 14 games last season for the Panthers and totaled 63 tackles and a career-high 2 interceptions.

The Eagles recently put out a statement, stating they are "gathering more information".

In college, Worley pleaded no contest to misdemeanor assault over an incident involving a woman at a night club.

It was expected that Worley would be in the mix for a starting job in Philadelphia along with fellow corners Ronald Darby, Jalen Mills and Sidney Jones.
