Despite the lead Army built up, the River Hawks continued to mount a comeback one batter at a time. The River Hawks responded by scoring three runs of their own. With Manion standing on second, Mackenzie Larsen roped a RBI single down the left field line and advanced to third on a throwing error from the Jayhawks left fielder.

Riverside's Emily Lamos got the home run derby started in the first inning with a three-run home run that gave the Beavers a 3-0 lead. Platek then followed with her three-run homer to left to break things open.

They will end the week in the annual Eastman Tournament in Kingsport being played April 5-8. Josh Minjarez didn't let the visitors hold the edge for long as he hit a two-out solo home run in the bottom half to tie things up at 2-2.

The Knights (13-16) got on the board in the opening inning, as Tara Hilton scored on a Jordan Stites double to center.

Good Hope managed to come up with two runs in the bottom of the seventh on a sacrifice bunt and a fielder's choice, but it was too little too late for the Lady Raiders and West Point wrapped up a 10-5 victory that moved them into Thursday's title game.


Rayne's final district contest saw the Lady Wolves fall 5-7 in a tight game against Westgate High. Tieman had two hits, a run and RBI; Kaganich had a single and run; Cania had a double, run and two RBIs; Houseman had a run and RBI; Griffith had a single and RBI; Westnedge had a single and run scored and Seal had a single.
