Steph Curry's history of ankle injuries are well-documented, and on Thursday night, the Golden State Warriors' star found himself with a bum wheel once more. They had 31 free throw attempts, while Memphis had just nine. Fortunately for the Warriors, they relied on plenty of depth in Kevin Durant's productivity (37 points), JaVale McGee's highlight reels and energy (13 points), Nick Young's sharp shooting (12 points ) and Draymond Green's versatility (11 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists). So, familiar feelings of previous fourth-quarter failings creeped in when Golden State ran off a 6-0 run in the first 1:02 of the fourth quarter to close to the gap to 87-84, before Durant eventually closed out the show.

The Warriors will be without Stephen Curry Friday against the Blazers, Steve Kerr said, after Curry left Thursday's victory over the Spurs 2:23 into the game when he tweaked his right ankle.

As for Golden State, they break the 50 win mark with this win. Opponents have outscored the Spurs 86-55 in clutch time since the start of February, and they also rank last in the National Basketball Association over that span in net efficiency in clutch time (-56.5).

After initially saying last night Curry would be observed and his status for the remainder of the night was uncertain, the Warriors later ruled Curry out.

San Antonio's collapse overshadowed a 30-point performance from power forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who also contributed 17 rebounds and four assists. Golden State covered as a 10-point favorite and the game finished with a total of 227 points, which was 8.5 points above the projected point total of 218.5 points.

San Antonio is 14-16-3 ATS on the road with 19 unders, 13 overs and 1 push. He missed 11 games after badly spraining it December.

The two-time NBA MVP drove to the basket two minutes into the game, went up for a contested layup, got fouled and landed awkwardly. San Antonio is 3-7 in their last 10 games. Five other Spurs scored in double digits.
