The game can support up to four players in local and online multiplayer mode. These additions, along with already announced characters Mario, Luigi, Wario and Waluigi, bring the current roster size to 15. For those yet to be sold on the idea, there is going to be a pre-release tournament to try out the new title before release. You can read the full description of the game below. On top of that, it appears we also have confirmation of two additional characters in the game - Yoshi, who appears to be sprouting wings for a special shot; and Rosalina from the Super Mario Galaxy series, surrounded by her little star pals. There will be rewards too including, special outfits and even bonus characters.

Resetera has posted the first details about the forthcoming Aces, which will reportedly come out on June 22. This and the Zone Shot can't be spammed because the moves depend on your Energy Gauge.

Turns out the listing was pretty spot on as Nintendo has confirmed during its latest Direct presentation that Mario Tennis Aces will indeed be launched on the 22nd of June. However, the Zone Shot can be blocked so it won't automatically damage a racket. Using the motion sensors in the JoyCons, you'll be able to serve, slice, hit forehands and backhands, and lobs in the Wii Tennis-esque mode.

Mario Tennis Aces is set in a story mode which will feature missions and boss battles with enemies like a giant piranha plant.
