Constantine might have been met with mixed reactions, but Matt Ryan was the one thing everyone could agree on. After it was cancelled, he resurfaced on the CW's Arrow as the same character.

Shortly after news of Ryan's promotion was announced, his co-star Tala Ashe took to Twitter to officially welcome him to the show.

His popularity continued and eventually, the network commissioned an animated web series to join their Arrowverse. Subscribe to tvpromosdb on Youtube for more DC's Legends of Tomorrow season 3 promos in HD!

What exactly does this mean for his web series?

In an interview with ComicBook.com last February, Ryan said that Constantine's obscure relationship with Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) set a potential return for the bisexual character. That is, if the show gets picked up for a fourth season.

You just can't keep a good demon hunter down. He's certainly got quite the history with Sara Lance and, to go along with that, we hope that his appearance on this show could lead to some other characters from his world appearing in some capacity. He's also due to appear in two more episodes: episode 15 and the season finale. After a previous feature film adaptation that may have been a cool movie but a bad translation (Keanu Reeves was horrifically miscast), we finally got a proper on-screen version thanks to actor Matt Ryan's pitch-perfect John Constantine. He's been a hit with fans, and it's easier to bring him back than to introduce a new character. As expected, his appearance on Legends was met with positive reviews.
