Colorado Springs Toddler Dies After He Was Found Following Amber Alert

- A 2-year-old boy, who was the subject of an Amber Alert died at the hospital after he was located.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office has found a missing toddler.

"The Sheriff's Office would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of the Dominguez family", the office wrote in a news release.

Officials did not provide additional details about Nain's condition or where or when he was found.

Biridiana Dominguez, the boy's sister, said the boy "brought a lot of joy to our family".

She thanked police and volunteers who helped in the search for her brother, following the announcement of an Amber Alert.

He was last seen wearing green sweatshirt and sweatpants near 1215 Forest Rd at about 5 p.m.

The initial report said a man was seen carrying the child to a van, but later said the man and the van were not related to the disappearance.

Investigators with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office are still working to determine the circumstances around the boy's disappearance, according to a spokesperson.
