Yes, one loss means that a season is over but every game now is at that point. As a team, Ohio State is scoring 75.8 points per game on 48.6% shooting from the field, 35.4% from behind the arc and 72.6% from the foul line this season.

South Dakota State, led by second-year head coach T.J. Otzelberger, won the Summit League regular-season and tournament championships and enter the NCAA Tournament with a 28-6 record.

Villanova will play first round game against South Dakota State in South Bend, Ind.

For the first time in three years, the Buckeyes are headed to the NCAA Tournament, where they'll take on South Dakota State in the first round on Thursday in Boise, Idaho. Villanova was previously a No. 8 seed when it last made the tournament five seasons ago.

Junior forward Mike Daum is second in the NCAA in defensive rebounding (9 per game), third in double-doubles (21), sixth in points per game (24), and ninth in total rebounding (353). However the Buckeyes tournament stay didn't last long, losing to the Penn State Nittany Lions in the quarterfinals.

The Buckeyes open tournament play on Saturday, March 17 at 1:30pm at St. John Arena. Miller averages 18.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, while junior guard Madison Guebert is averaging 14.8 points per contest. Bates-Diop leads in rebounds with 8.8 while Jackson tops in assists with 3.9. The Buckeyes picked up wins over Radford, Texas Southern, Michigan State and Purdue, lost to North Carolina, Gonzaga, Clemson and Butler and split their two meetings with Michigan.

It'll be the first time Tech will make back-to-back appearances in the NCAA tournament since the 1985 and '86 seasons.
