Overwatch League viewers can receive free League Tokens just by watching live matches on Twitch and some new skins can be unlocked by Cheering during matches according to a post on the Twitch blog.

For those unfamiliar, Overwatch League Tokens are an in-game currency for Overwatch which are used to purchase Overwatch League team skins, which is an excellent way for gamers to show support for their favorite teams.

To earn League Tokens, you must link your Battle.net account to your Twitch account.

The inaugural Overwatch League regular season is set to resume on Wednesday afternoon.

Earlier this year Twitch and Blizzard announced a partnership in which the Overwatch League will be streamable via Twitch's platform.

While the above option is also available on MLG and Overwatch League's website, Twitch will be the only place that lets you "cheer" with "bits" in order to unlock "content". Also, there's going to be a percentage of viewers that are awarded 100 tokens at the end of a live match. The skins will be exclusive to the Cheering program for a while, as will the emotes and team-branded items.

Also being introduced as part of the experience as League Tokens.

Global Cheering thresholds-combining everyone who tunes in to an Overwatch League match-come with even bigger returns, unlocking special Hero skins for each benchmark achieved. Hours prior to the week's first match, Twitch and Blizzard announced some new plans to help reward the League's loyal viewers for watching as much of the action as possible.
