Classes at Dubuque Senior canceled due to shooting threat

"Because safety is our top priority, we are evaluating the situation and canceling classes as a precaution", the message from Bremerton High School said.

School is canceled Friday, February 23, at Dubuque Senior High School "due to rumors of a potential threat", according to the Dubuque Community School District. "Within the last 90 minutes, the district and the Dubuque Police Department have been in close communication", the district posted on its website.

District Superintendent Michael Snell says the missed days will be added to the end of the school year.

The Dayton Daily News reports four students. one from Springfield, two from Fairborn and another from New Lebanon. were arrested Thursday after threats were made, and that at least two other districts investigated reports of threats.

Classes at Bremerton High School are canceled today as officials investigate an unverified threat.

The Columbus city schools say there will be an increased police presence at buildings in the district Friday after several threats were made on social media.
