Daily Mail has revealed that Lee, 95, had groped, demanded sex and then masturbated in front of a masseuse at a Chicago hotel in April past year.

"Various anonymous individuals have attempted to extort money from based on false allegations, but when we have asked them to identify themselves and provide their full legal names and information, they have, not surprisingly, gone radio silent", the statement said.

Buzzfeed News said it had spoken to a nursing firm that had provided care for Lee, but which denied making any legal claim or compensation request from him.

He has a personal fortune estimated at $50 million and the Marvel franchise has made $23 billion at the box office.

Marvel comics legend Stan Lee has been accused of sexual misconduct by his nurses. According to a report in The Daily Mail, 95-year-old Lee is alleged to have "repeatedly groped and harassed a string of young female nurses employed to care for him".

Lee is the co-creator of Spider-Man, X-Men, The Hulk and numerous other comic books. She refused to have sex and then she claimed that Lee began to masturbate in front of her and she fled the room.

"He doesn't seem to care what people think of him, he's lost his filter", a source told the tabloid.

The allegation is the latest to hit Lee and comes after DailyMail.com revealed he as been hit with several allegations of sexual assault and harassment by nurses caring for him at his Hollywood Hills home.

However, Lee's lawyer, Tom Lallas, said the comics creator has denied the "false and despicable" claims and suggested that the allegations were part of a 'shakedown'.

Tuesday saw it claimed by nurses that Stan Lee had groped them and demanded oral sex in the shower at his home in Los Angeles.

Following the incident, she apparently made an official complaint to Stan Lee's representatives, which have kicked off a whole bunch of behind the scenes meetings as they work out what to do. Lee, he added, had done "absolutely nothing wrong". This accusation is another example of a demand that Mr Lee has received to pay money and threat that if he does not do so, the accuser will hold a press conference and go to the media.
