PM anguished at loss of life in Bawana fire

Taking to Twitter, Prime Minister Modi said, "Deeply anguished by the fire at a factory in Bawana". My thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives. Most of the victims died due to asphyxiation, officials said. According to a Delhi fire services officials, the blaze started from a firecracker factory which has a rubber factory atop it on the second storey. The channel quoted chief fire officer Atul Garg as saying that five to six people are still inside the building.

Shortly after the incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his grief in a tweet. The Delhi government is closely monitoring the situation. "Ordered enquiry", Jain tweeted.

Atleast 10 people are feared dead in a major fire break out at a cracker factory in Northwest Delhi Bawana industrial area.

The medical superintendent of Dr Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Hospital said, "We have received a disaster alert and we are prepared to handle the rush of injured patients".
