And don't worry, unlike supervillain Eurus Holmes - Sherlock's sister as played by Sian Brooke in the BBC's modern adaptation - Enola isn't out to hinder her brother's work.

According to Deadline, Brown will be starring in and producing a film series based on The Enola Holmes Mysteries novel series for Legendary Entertainment.

In the books, Enola is the fourteen-year-old sister of Sherlock Holmes, and goes on her own series of mysterious adventures. The first and fifth books in the series were nominated for Edgar Awards in 2007 and 2010, respectively. Brown is popular for her character as "Eleven" in the Hollywood web series Stranger Things.

Springer's series began with The Case of the Missing Marquess in 2006.

This deal with Legendary comes on the heels of her finishing up production in the aforementioned Godzilla sequel, and it would seem to imply that both parties had a positive experience. It's likely that Season 3 of the series will be what she shoots next. Not to mention the fact that there's a trend for more female-led blockbusters at the moment, following on from the likes of Wonder Woman and the new Star Wars movies.

Even so, the idea of Millie Bobby Brown solving crimes in 1880s England is definitely enough to get us excited.
