Jordan Ayew and Wilfried Bony were on target as Swansea City defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 in their FA Cup third round replay.

Diogo Jota came off the Wolves bench to level the scores, but Wilfried Bony'sclose-rangee victor three minutes later sealed the win.

A place alongside bitter rivals Cardiff and Newport in the fourth round was Swansea's reward, only the third time three Welsh teams have made it to that stage of the competition.

"I think it's important that we go out to try to win the game and, hopefully, we can take that momentum going forward in the Premier League".

"We didn't come out well, but we reacted and the second half was much better than the first", said Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

It was a great goal from Jordan and he deserves it. What isn't surprising however is the fact that the Swans are in the market for a goal scorer, having scored a feeble 14 times so far this season. I am happy because he is a fighter - he works very hard for the team.

Swansea will now face League Two promotion contenders Notts County later this month.

The likes of Romain Saiss, Leo Bonatini - who has been in fine goalscoring form for Wolves this season - and Diogo Jota could all be rested by their manager as they look to continue their charge back to the Premier League.
