Assuming OnePlus can make a deal with carriers in the United States, which one (s) would you like to see it partner with?

The development was confirmed by Pete Lau, co-founder and CEO of OnePlus, in an interview to CNET on the side-lines of the Consumer Electronics Show 2018 (CES 2018), which is now underway at Las Vegas. The 5T actually became the company's fastest selling phone just six hours after it was made available for purchase in November.

The OnePlus 6 could represent a watershed moment for the Chinese firm, as Lau said that the company would begin talks with U.S. carriers this year. This is around the same time the OnePlus 5 got unveiled previous year. Late in 2017, a report mentioned contained a list of smartphones that are to be released this year with the 845 chipsets, and it did say that OP6 will be launching in June.

So far, OnePlus has been very particular when it comes to its manufacturing standards, keeping tight control over how many units it produces.

Support from US carriers has been an issue for Chinese smartphone brands.

OnePlus will face challenges in forging a partnership with a USA carrier, though.

This is also the reason why a potential deal between AT&T and Huawei was so hotly anticipated building up to CES 2018. Huawei is suspected of having a role in Chinese espionage.

When he was asked about the Snapdragon 845 for the next-generation OnePlus devices, Lau was pretty straight in his reply. The CEO said that they plan on releasing the next OnePlus phone sometime during the later part of the second quarter of 2018. The OnePlus 5 was launched in June past year, and it seems the company wants to maintain the launch cycle. "He said", Of course, there's no other choice".

Not much is known, other than the flagship processor from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 845.

OnePlus 6 is also rumoured to feature a more secure version of their "Face Unlock" technology which had debuted with the OnePlus 5T.
