The creators of "Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery" - the first game in which players create their own avatar as a Hogwarts student - have released the first teaser trailer and additional details of the title. Interactive Entertainment, developed by Jam City and will be released this spring for mobile devices under Portkey Games, the new label for gaming experiences inspired by the magic and adventures of J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World. That means you will be taught by a familiar teaching roster, including Hagrid and Professor Snape.

And for those wondering about the game's timeline, it takes place between Harry Potter's birtha dn his enrollment at Hogwarts, when Nymphadora Tonks and Bill Weasley were originally students. However, the game will face huge pressure from another mobile game of the franchise, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. Not only do they have Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald to look forward to, but there's also the possibility of a Pokemon GO style game in the Harry Potter universe, made by Niantic.

"Hogwarts Mystery" features an avatar customization system that allows players to change and upgrade their avatar as they progress through the game.

You'll do what typical Hogwarts students do. The studio's announcement promises both major story arcs and smaller, relationship-oriented quests, but specifics will have to wait for another day. A new encounter system will impact the story based on the player's decisions in both actions and narrative. Fans in attendance will be able to play the game and get a look behind-the-scenes during two panels. Building your skills will come in handy as you solve mysteries and go on adventures. Other parts of the game include Hogwarts' four houses, which players will be sorted into; choosing a pet; learning how to cast a number of spells in beloved classes; and uncovering the myriad mysteries of Hogwarts.

The game casts players as Hogwarts students, during the time between Harry's birth and his admission to the wizarding school.
