It's filled with new features, including a new dungeon, a first-person mode and the ability to control the game's royal boat.

Square Enix detailed all of the new content coming to Royal Edition in a recent press release. This Royal Edition is worth getting if you love action RPGs with lots of gameplay. Beyond that however, is a slew of new features to pep the base game up further.

The Royal Edition will include the base Final Fantasy XV game, plus all of the following.

Final Fantasy 15 has received a significant number of updates since its initial release in November 2016. In addition, a special launch event will be held on Square Enix's YouTube channel on February 2nd at 12am P.S.T (3am E.S.T), during which producer Hiroaki Kato and director Takashi Katano will answer questions posed to them by fans on Twitter. It'll also include "a fully-controllable Royal Vessel boat" which lets you sail around the world of Eos, while you also discover new fish for Noctis to catch. The plus side of this for PC players is that we get everything included in the Royal Edition (the season pass content, a new-ish vehicle, and new bosses) and then some, given the increased power of a PC. The same body of water (between Cape Caem and Altissia) can now be freely explored.

For those that already own the game, the new content is not included in the season pass but you will be able to buy it all with a separate download that costs $19.99 in the United States (£15). If you already own the game, you can also buy these extras as DLC for $US19.99 ($25).

This version of the game will be released worldwide on March 6th, 2018 for the PS4 and Xbox One platforms.
