The release was, at the time, exclusive to PlayStation 4, though the game lacked the "Only on PlayStation 4" label that generally comes with exclusives; usually, a good sign that the game will eventually land on another platform.

Square Enix announced that world of Ivalice will be headed to PC-via Steam when Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age launches on February 1.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Development Is Going Well (Thankfully)

After debuting on PS4 in late 2016, Final Fantasy 15 will grace PC later this year.

Here's a breakdown of them courtesy of an official press release. During the presentation, the publisher teased the game's Season Pass, which will add six new characters to the roster.

Fans that purchase the game through STEAM within the first week of launch will also receive a 20% discount, a three-track digital music compilation and a new STEAM Skin illustrated by famed FINAL FANTASY artist Isamu Kamikokuryo.

It's likely that this is what the new SKU would be about, but we don't exactly have confirmation yet from Square Enix, so, until we do, then it's just speculation as to what this new version of the game would be.

Ahead of that time, you can check out the game as part of a special open beta that begins this week on January 12.

Pre-orders for the standard Steam version are not yet open, however, but you can get a look at the store page here.

Despite the fact that Final Fantasy VII Remake development is supposedly going well, the now PS4 exclusive title is still without a release window, and in terms of more official news, it looks like E3 2018 will open the floodgates in this respect.
