Definitive Edition will release next month — Age of Empires

Well, it looks like the wait is nearly over, as Microsoft has just revealed the game's official release date.

The title will set gamers back $19.99.

And now I'm happy to announce that Age of Empires: Definitive Edition is launching on February 20 worldwide for Windows 10 PCs at $19.99 United States dollars.

The original Age of Empires, first launched in 1997, has remembered as a classic Real Time Strategy game, and is still played by many people on the game distribution services, GOG and Steam.

Age of Empires Definitive Edition will revive the classic RTS with updated visuals, a new soundtrack, various gameplay improvements and up to date multiplayer.

Enhancing the campaign and scenario editor, which allows anyone to make original custom campaigns for the game, by letting players easily share them with other players around the world via AgeOfEmpires. (Update 10/16/2017) Please note that the Windows Store page for Age of Empires: Definitive Edition is now listing the planned release date as 12/31/2018. If you want to check out the game before its final release, then you have until the 25th of January to sign up for the multiplayer beta, which will go live on the 29th. That being said, there are plenty of reasons to be excited about this new version of Age of Empires.
