So too, is the game's new battle pack, which adds Aegislash (who?) and Blastoise (yes, please!) to the game's list of fighters. However, you can also control it with Joycons if you so desire, and enjoy all-new content created just for this version of the game.

Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze is getting a port to Switch, with a new mode where Kranky Kong can surf easily through obstacles.

Nintendo also announced a free update for Super Mario Odyssey, Luigi's Balloon World - two competitive modes about hiding or finding balloons - as well as a Donkey Kong DLC pack for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.

The debut of everyone's favourite pink blob sees new abilities that let you cast spider webs, hurl hearts at enemies to have them join your team, and up to four friends can join in for this epic adventure. Ten years following its initial release, The World Ends with You -Final Remix- is coming to the Nintendo Switch.

The big one, however, is Dark Souls Remastered. It's called Mario Tennis Aces and it's going to be the first Mario sports game for the Nintendo Switch since the console was launched.

Announced for Switch, this port of The World Ends With You features HD visuals, touch controls, or optional new joycon controls. It will be right at home on Switch when it releases laster this year. If you missed out on 2014's Hyrule Warriors, the Definitive Edition is on the way with content from both the Wii U and 3DS versions this spring. It releases summer 2018. Payday 2 Nintendo Switch release date is February 27. "Kirby Star Allies" is still slated to arrive on March 16, but Nintendo revealed a new gameplay trailer showing off more of Kirby's new moves.

A number of other third party titles were also given release dates, including PAYDAY 2 (23rd February), Fe (16th February), Celeste (25th January), Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Summer), SNK HEROINES Tag Team Frenzy (Summer) and ACA NEOGEO ART OF FIGHTING 2 (today!).
