With a first-and-goal at the Jaguars' 1-yard line, Taylor threw a fade route intended for receiver Kelvin Benjamin. He also rushed for 88 yards on 10 carries.

The Steelers went 10-1 after that game and feature an NFL-high four first-team All-Pro selections: Receiver Antonio Brown (who missed the last two games with a calf injury), tailback Le'Veon Bell, right guard David DeCastro and defensive end Cam Heyward. First-year coach Sean McDermott helped the Bills far surpass expectations as they ended the NFL's longest playoff drought.

The Buffalo Bills and the Jacksonville Jaguars were both playing in a playoff game for the first time in over a decade.

Sunday's Wild Card game stands as a continuation of a Jaguars season where the win was all that mattered.

The Bills finished with 263 yards, with 119 of those coming from hobbled running back LeSean McCoy (ankle).

The Bills had one final chance, getting the ball back with 1:51 to play in the fourth quarter at their own 37-yard line. Ramsey then sealed the game with an incredible interception when Nathan Peterman came into the game for an injured Tyrod Taylor.

Despite the strong effort by the Buffalo defense, the Bills will head into the offseason after losing a playoff game they had plenty of opportunities to win.

"That's the game plan for this week, trying to stop the flow of what they want to do", nose tackle Javon Hargrave said.

"You know, when we got beat last week at Tennessee, I didn't run at all, so I thought we got beat without kind of shooting all of our shots, so I said it made it hard, so let's find some ways to move the ball and do some different stuff", Bortles said.

"Yeah, you know, we had done a good job of calling a stunt". But after an intentional grounding penalty, he was intercepted by Jalen Ramsey at midfield with 26 seconds remaining to seal the outcome.

The idea that the Jaguars can go into Pittsburgh and win next weekend exists nearly exclusively because of the defense.

Bortles, who appeared to be stepped on while taking the snap, faked a hand-off to Fournette and fired a pass to Koyack in the back of the end zone. That said, it's worth noting that Sunday marked Hackett's first postseason game as an offensive coordinator, and maybe we'll see him get a bit more creative as he did at times during the regular season. With the Bills needing their quarterback to make a play, it never came.

Jacksonville's latest defensive gem - a 10-3 victory against Buffalo (9-8) on Sunday - set up a rematch with the Steelers (13-3).

"The atmosphere was incredible", Colvin said.

Coughlin knows what it takes to get to the top.

The Bills broke the deadlock when Stephen Hauschka kicked a 31-yard field goal following a mammoth 18-play drive that lasted eight minutes and six seconds, but Jacksonville levelled the scores with a 44-yard field goal from Josh Lambo with two seconds of the first half remaining. Guard Richie Incognito left the game with a shoulder injury and is questionable to return. The Jaguars beat the Steelers, 30-9, in Pittsburgh in Week 5. The Jaguars picked off Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger five times in a 30-9 victory at Heinz Field on October 8.
