TVS races into super-premium league with the Apache RR 310

The TVS Apache RR 310 gets a 312cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 34 [email protected] rpm and 27.3 [email protected] rpm.

Unveiling the new TVS Apache RR 310 at the launch, Sudarshan Venu said, "The launch of TVS Apache RR 310 marks a major milestone, as it ushers in a new era at TVS Motor Company".

The motorbike is the product of TVS and BMW Motorrad collaboration which served the bike's solid foundation, superior performance and riding dynamics. The vehicle marks the official entry of motor company into the super-premium bike segment.


The engine is mated to a 6-speed super-slick gear box.

TVS claims the Apache RR 310 can sprint from 0 - 100km/h in 2.63 seconds with a top speed of 160km/h. The TVS Apache RR 310 contended with any semblance of the Kawasaki Ninja 300, KTM RC 390, Benelli 302R and the Yamaha R3 which will be re-launched soon. Staying true to 35 years of TVS Racing pedigree, TVS Apache RR 310 comes with an all-new, race origin, light-weight trellis-frame chassis for enhanced stiffness in straights, and flex for dynamic cornering capability, that result in best-in-class riding dynamics. "We are confident that customers will find it to be a ideal combination of racecraft technology and riding dynamics". It was also reported by NDTv that the TVS Apache RR 310 will be launched in worldwide markets where TVS has a presence. The engine is reverse inclined and gets double overhead camshafts (DOHC) along with a hydraulic cam chain tensioner for lower maintenance.


One of the features that the RR carried forward from the Akula is the vertical information console-cum-speedo which gives out a whopping 18 racing diagnostics and comprehensive post-ride analysis.

The motorcycle equipped with twin projector head lamps is the first fully faired motorcycle offered by TVS Motor.

The sub-500cc motorcycle gets the Race Spec KYB Suspension that is tested and tuned by MotoGP experts.


The bike is available in two colors which are Racing Red, and Sinister Black. Priced at Rs 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom), TVS is yet to announce state-wise prices of the bike. While the market was growing at 10% for the past five year, TVS Motor had been growing well above 25%, he said.
