Samsung has announced the launch of two new Windows 10 laptops in Korea. It's an S Pen, so while it's smaller, it doesn't require a battery and it fits inside of a holster in the device. Samsung calls this magnesium aluminum alloy "Metal12". For connectivity, the 13-inch Notebook 9 (2018) is equipped with USB-C, USB 3.0, HDMI, Dollars card slot, headphone/microphone and DC-in whereas the 15-inch model has Thunderbolt 3 (or USB-C), USB 3.0, HDMI, uSD card slot, headphone/microphone jack and DC-in.

Samsung is also refreshing its regular Notebook 9 models, with 13.3-inch and 15-inch updates. Joining the three new models is the Samsung Notebook 9 Pen, a lightweight 2-in-1 model with a 360-degree hinge and an included S Pen stylus.

The 2018 edition 13.3-inch and 15-inch Notebook 9 also are available with up to 16GB of RAM and 8th generation Core i7 processors, but come with storage options of up 1TB SSD.

The larger model will even be offered with optional discreet NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics, as well as all the ports you could ever need, including Thunderbolt 3 technology, a pair of USB 3.0s, a USB 2.0, HDMI, and a microSD slot. The 75W Hexacell battery should include a battery life boost, but the company is only committing to a vague "always-on power", with fast charging support for when you need to top the battery up. Samsung hasn't revealed pricing yet, but the company should share more info on that at CES 2018.

On December 14, Samsung announced its three new lineups of the Samsung Notebook 9 (2018).

The Samsung Notebook 9 Pen offers flexibility and portability with the convertible hinge and S Pen. It is powered by 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor, and can be configured with up to 16GB DDR4 memory, and 512GB storage. As for ports, the Samsung Notebook 9 Pen comes with one USB Type-C port, one USB 3.0 port, one HDMI ports and a Dollars card slot. Both the Notebook 9 (2018) and Notebook 9 Pen come with Windows Hello built-in for secure authentication through the fingerprint sensor without having to type in a password.

Both the Samsung Notebook 9 Pen and Notebook 9 will be available in the United States in early 2018, and we're expecting to get a closer look at them at CES next month.
