Although PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has become something of a worldwide phenomenon, gamers everywhere are undoubtedly exhausted of experiencing the same Russian landscape time and time again. We got our answers tonight at The Game Awards.

Playerunknown's Battlegrounds developer PUBG Corp, the new spinoff company in charge of the battle royale-style PC hit, this week revealed the name of its much anticipated new desert map, Miramar.

PUBG will launch on the Microsoft Game Preview program on December 12.

If you wish to experience the new desert map at the highest levels of detail possible, at higher resolutions that make distant enemies easier to spot, GeForce GTX 10-Series graphics cards can exceed 60 FPS at Ultra settings, giving you high-fidelity visuals and fast response times, improving upon the performance of previous-generation GPUs by over 2X.

What's more, players on the Test Server will be able to try out the new map tonight! The map will be the second new environment for the 100-person free-for-all deathmatch title since its March launch on Steam's "early access" platform. Do note, that this map will be free to all players.

Polygon reports that The Coalition, the Microsoft-owned studio famous for Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and, more recently, Gears of War 4 was very helpful during the development of the Xbox One port.

"There was this global assessment within Microsoft of how can we pair up with this super collaborative, super friendly and incredibly successful - in the short term - group for our partnership to deliver", said PUBG for Xbox One executive producer Nico Bihary in an interview with Polygon.
