Nokia 9 & Nokia 8 (2018) Arriving January

To recall, HMD Global has completed a year as the new home of the Nokia mobile brand and it made its global debut with the launch of Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 at MWC early this year.

The Finnish company, which has released several devices this year after acquiring Nokia, is holding an event on January 19, 2018 in China and the much-hyped Nokia 9 is expected to be announced on the day, according to a report by My Drivers site (in Chinese). The reports further claimed that HMD GLobal will be launching another phone alongside a another phone which is speculated to be the 2018 edition Nokia 8. Now, it has been confirmed that Nokia 3 will skip Android 7.1.2 Nougat update and it will directly receive Oreo update instead. The report reveals that both the phones will be customized only for China market and hence may come with entails special ROMs where Google services may be replaced by local alternatives.

Nokia 8, 5, 6 and 3 smartphones are also confirmed to get the next Android P update, as well.


Also, Nokia 9 doesn't come alone, alongside it comes the Nokia 8 (2018) adaptation. Nokia 9 has also leaked in images which shows the phone to come in three colour variants - black, blue and silver.

The 64GB variant of the Nokia 9 may be priced at around CNY 3,699 (Rs 35,965 approx.) while the 128GB storage variant might be priced at CNY 4,199 (Rs 40,826 approx.). Nokia 8, Nokia 7 and Nokia 6 are the best cell phones from Nokia on Android stage known for their smooth and solid design.

The normal cost of Nokia 9 6GB/64GB model is $560, while the other 6GB/128GB variation will cost you $635.


The cell phone is additionally anticipated that would have double rear camera setup and IP67 accreditation for water and dust security.

The Nokia 8 (2018) is expected to be priced similar to the Nokia 8 which was launched in India back in September at a price of Rs 36999. The Nokia 9 is supposed to have 5.5-inch QHD display and Snapdragon 835 chipsets.
