'I want them to go somewhere where they will play them together on the court at the same time.

'Of course, why not?' LaVar told TMZ when asked if China would welcome his son back after his recent arrest.

Earlier in the week, LaVar reiterated his pipe dream of trying to get LiAngelo and LaMelo to team with their older brother, Lonzo, on the Los Angeles Lakers, but of course, that's as far-fetched as any of his boasts.

While playing professional basketball at high school age seems preposterous in the United States, it actually isn't all that uncommon overseas.

It was unlikely that LiAngelo Ball would have played much this season - he was already going to come off the bench - and LaMelo Ball is still a major question mark. That information comes from LaVar Ball.

Ball said earlier this week that the plan was still for LaMelo, who withdrew from Chino Hills (California) High School early in his junior season, to play at UCLA in two years.

Feeling impatient, LaVar and LiAngelo announced the latter's intention to pull out of the school on Tuesday so he can focus on preparing for the 2018 NBA Draft. It's a future that has nearly certainly been made more unlikely by this move. He also suggested that UCLA shared some of the responsibility for the shoplifting incident, considering they let the players have some free time while in China. Lavar put everything on hold to care for his wife and make sure she recovered to be the woman she was.

Sources told ESPN that several teams in Europe and Asia have expressed interest.

"I don't know the deals and who is offering what", Ball told ESPN. "I'm not going to let UCLA take the fire out of my boy by not letting him play for two months".
