Earlier this year, Airtel partnered with domestic vendors like Karbonn and Celkon, and launched affordable 4G and VoLTE-enabled Android smartphones with bundled offers. India's largest telecom operator Bharti Airtel has introduced three new smartphones under its "Mera Pehla Smartphone" initiative. But there's a catch.

To become eligible for cashback, users will have to recharge with Airtel's Rs 169 monthly pack, consecutively for 36 months.


In case, one does not wish to opt for Rs 169 bundled plan, he/she has the flexibility of doing recharges of any denomination, however, in order to claim cash refund benefits, one has to do a recharge worth Rs 3000 for the first 18 months to claim first refund installment of Rs 500 and another Rs 3000 over the next 18 months to claim the Rs 1000 refund amount. Similarly, the Intex Aqua A3 comes with an MRP of 6,649 and an MOP of Rs 5,879.

It will bring the effective price of the Aqua Lions N1 to Rs 1,649, the Aqua A4's price to Rs 1,999 and Aqua S3's price to Rs 4,379.


As for the specs of these new phones, here's everything the Intex phones have to offer. "The all new Dual SIM 4G smartphone is powered by MTK chipset with a 4" full touch WVGA screen, 2MP Rear & Front VGA camera, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB along with a host of other exciting features. People willget a refund of Rs 500 after 18 months, and another Rs 1000 after completion of 36 months. It is powered by 1.3GHz Quad- processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM, which is expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card slot. The Aqua S3 gets the biggest battery among the lot, which is a 2450 mAh pack. It bears in 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage which is expandable up to 64 GB via the microSD card slot. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM, Bluetooth, WiFi, FM Radio, 3.5mm jack, GPS/AGPS and micro USB port. Thusly, the client will get add up to cashback of Rs 1,500, cutting down the cost of the mobile to Rs 1,649, which is the captivating cost of the handset. A 2450mAh battery backs the entire package, and the smartphone rocks 8MP primary camera and a 5MP front shooter with flash for taking pictures in low-light. In addition, both smartphones come preloaded with MyAirtel App, Airtel TV, and Wynk Music as well.
