If you're yet to play one of the greatest fighting games of this year, now is your chance.

Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment announce the free trial of Injustice 2, the brawler game of NetherRealm Studios dedicated to the superheroes and superclasses of the DC Comics world.

Injustice 2 will have a free trial that you can download on PS4 and Xbox One starting on December 14th.

As of right now, Nether Realm hasn't confirmed if there will be a free weekend for PC player or not. It will allow access to the Story Mode's free three chapters, multiplayer and online modes. The trial will also contain the Multiverse mode, where trial players can get their hands on select DLC characters. This is as complete an experience as you're likely to get.

Injustice 2 will be discounted at participating retails during this same time, and progress will carry over into the main game if people decide to make a purchase. The free weekend event will be kicking off on the 14th of December, which is today, and will last until the 18th of December.

Injustice 2 may have the best single-player campaign of any fighting game.

Maybe you didn't take our advice and run out to buy the game.
