Using a third-party mapping app to check out the coordinates, the team found that several of them looked like locations right out of Red Dead Redemption.

Some fans have already anticipated this happening and they are not worked up by it.

GTA Online's Doomsday Heist Releases Tons of New Content

Gamers can get their hands on the game and install it on the PlayStation4, Xbox One, and PC. According to ExpertReviews, Rockstar will be capitalizing on this new tech, and there's a possibility the game would be exclusive to some console. It turns out that this update contains files for new in-game content tying into Red Dead Redemption 2.

This includes the Mammoth Thruster jetpack, as well as a vehicle that appears to take inspiration from Back to the Future. The Wild West was nearly over at this point, leaving almost nothing to focus on in the sequel.

Don't worry if, like me, you've fallen way off the GTA Online bandwagon.

Recently, an important piece of information came from a completely unexpected source.

Well, what do you know- Rockstar is in fact linking its unreleased Red Dead Redemption 2 game with GTA Online, as some Internet sleuths discovered prior to an official announcement.

This looks to be a fun addition, one that follows the Doomsday Heist update, the biggest yet to GTA Online. If you're able to complete that successfully, you'll get $250,000 in GTA Online and unlock the Double-Action Revolver for use in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Elsewhere in the files, The Guru Team (via Kotaku) found some unused assets including a locked chest and a handwritten note. The chest was marked with a company name and logo, Boles Overland Stagecoach Co., which players also spotted in a Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer. The treasure belonged to a family that was torn apart by it, until one member hid it, presumably in the grave. Aside from that, the data miners also found the mission's main script and coding.
