For anyone who doesn't remember or is too young and missed the magic that was John McTiernan's Predator, the movie is about some ex-military dudes who get played by the deep state and end up fighting for their lives in the made-up jungle of Val Verde as an alien tries to skin them alive during his intergalactic vacation.

Sadly, the crossover game mode will be a limited time event, with the Predator leaving Bolivia sometime in early January, but Ubisoft has not disclosed an exact date yet.

Face off Against The Predator in Ghost Recon Wildlands Event

The Predator will use thermal tracking to hunt its prey and a cloaking device to remain undetectable.

This event comes out tomorrow, on December 14, and the Predator Pack will be available in the game store at a later stage. The Hunt is a special event coming to Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands and the shooter is crossing over with one of the most incredible hunters in fiction: Predator.

"At Ubisoft Paris, we have been fans of the Predator for a long time and are thrilled to bring such an iconic character to our game".

On top of that, the title's recently introduced Ghost Wars player-versus-player mode will nab a new playable class based on the character Dutch from the original movie.

The developer is being cagey on details at the moment, but a blog post on the Ghost Recon: Wildlands website gives away that more is expected to be revealed in a special livestream at 6PM CET (5pm GMT) this evening with YouTuber Carbon Meister on Ubisoft's Twitch channel.

According to Ubisoft, this mission is built to recreate some of the tension felt by Dutch and his crew in the original Predator movie. Hunting him down will allow players to get lots of exclusive items like the Predator mask. As for the Predator's last-ditch self-destruct attack, Abboud said players will have to wait and see if that'll happen for themselves.
