Earthquake Jolts Delhi-NCR today with 5.5 magnitude; No casualties reported

The epicenter of the moderate intensity natural disaster was reported 121 km east of Dehradun, in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag district.

An quake of 5.5 magnitude on the Richter Scale jolted Delhi- National Capital Region (NCR) on Wednesday. However, no casualties have reported yet; the reports suggested Uttrakhand was the epicentre of the quake.

According to the IMD's National Seismological Centre, the quake occurred at 8:49 pm.

"I came out of the house after I realized everything is trembling", Atul Kumar, a local resident in New Delhi's Green Park told Xinhua.

No reports of casualty or damage to property were available at the time of this update.
