"I wonder how many mes he doesn't know", she said.

Corfman said she has, over the years, told friends and her children her story: Going to Moore's house in 1979, where he laid blankets on the floor and "proceeded to seduce me", she said, recounting the meeting to Savannah Guthrie.

When asked if she was paid for the allegations as some Moore supporters have suggested, Corfman replied, "Absolutely not".

Corfman said she spoke with family and friends years before speaking to the Post.

"I was a 14-year-old child trying to play in an adult's world", she explained, adding that it wasn't what she expected after reading Harlequin romance novels. And he tried to get me to touch him, as well.

Since the Post's report, another woman has come forward and accused Moore of sexually assaulting her when she was 16.

Moore made national headlines in 2003 for defying a Supreme Court order order to remove a monument of the Ten Commandments he commissioned for the Alabama Judicial Building when he was chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court.

With Rep. Tim Murphy (R-Pa.) resigning in the wake of a sex scandal, local Democrats have chosen a candidate in the special election to replace him: Conor Lamb, a 33-year-old Marine veteran and assistant US attorney.

Corfman also dismissed allegations that her decision to come forward was politically or financially motivated during the interview. "The President also believes that if these allegations are true, Judge Moore will do the right thing and step aside", Sanders had said. "It literally fell in my lap and I had to make a decision", she said. And my bank account has not flourished, ' said Corfman. "If anything it has gone down".

One of the topics that Corfman addressed was the timing of her announcement. "I need to go public.' My children were small so I didn't do it". She did tell her kids what had happened and they were concerned her coming forward could hurt them socially given Moore's prominence in the community.

She also revealed that she nearly confronted him back in 2000, but that she decided against that move after speaking with her family.

Days later, she said, Moore picked her up around the corner from her house, brought her to his home, and touched her over her bra and underwear and guided her hand to touch him over his underwear.

'It took away a lot of the specialness of, you know, interactions with men.

Corman ended the interview looking at a picture of herself at 14.
