Chance channelled his inner-Boyz II Men for a parody music video begging for Barack Obama to be president once again.

Chance the Rapper debuted a new song for Thanksgiving during his opening monologue on Saturday Night Live!

"I feel like we're all gonna die". Alongside Thompson and Chris Redd he sang about feeling lost without a key figure in his life - but instead of it being a woman, it turned out to be former president Barack Obama. "Like really bad, like World War bad, like nuclear bad".

"For real, why would you leave us?"

"Mariah Carey is at that (Rockefeller Center) tree-lighting every year singing All I want for Christmas Is You, and it's not because she loves giant trees", he said.

"We didn't know just what we had", the chorus went. The group is seen singing about the constitutional impediments to his return, about their anxiety regarding the future of the country, and about watching Barack and Michelle from afar.

Playing on his strength, Chance soon broke out into song to make his point with a new jingle.

This week's SNL marks Chance's first time as host of the famed late-night sketch comedy series, and Em's sixth appearance. Chance also attended the Obama Foundation's inaugural summit earlier this month.
