Nathanael Rutherford of Rocky Top Insider described Jennings' live video on his private Instagram account as "a profanity-laced tirade against Vols' coaches". A new coach could attempt to get Jennings reinstated but would likely need Currie's blessing. "Please, Tennessee send us a great-(expletive) coaching staff".

Jennings rant included his feelings about the Vol coaching staff, using the words "lying", "fake" and "snake".

Jennings was somewhat of a surprise return to practice recently as it was expected he was going to miss the rest of the season after being injured in season opener against Georgia Tech.

The loss of Jauan Jennings meant that Tennessee had one less playmaker on its offense, which would prove to be critical given the lack of consistency at quarterback.

"Representing the University of Tennessee football program is a privilege", Hoke concluded.

Jennings' displeasure apparently stemmed from the fact that he was not cleared to play in Saturday's game against Vanderbilt.

"In consultation with vice chancellor/director of athletics John Currie, I have made the decision to dismiss Jauan from our program", Hoke said in a statement. "It's straight f*cking coaching".

Jennings made 40 receptions for 580 yards and seven touchdowns as a sophomore last season.

It has the opportunity to finally win a conference showdown Saturday against the 4-7 Vanderbilt Commodores.
