"It will go down a ground-breaking auto in the history of Lotus". 0-62 miles per hour takes 3.2 seconds, making it 0.2 seconds faster than the Cup 380 before it. Unsurprisingly, the Lotus Exige Cup 380 has had a weight reduction. Following the Elise Cup 260, the Evora GT430, and a handful of other go-fast one-offs that have been unveiled in the past few months, the new Exige Cup 430 promises to be "the most extreme Exige ever conceived".

Lotus Group CEO Jean-Marc Gales is confident that the abilities of the Unlimited Edition will exeed expectiations. With the supercharger blowing at full speed it imbues the 3.5-liter V6 engine with 430hp, 440Nm of torque, a 0-100km/h time of just 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 180mph. The latest is this, the new Lotus Exige Cup 430. Novelty called Cup 430 was replaced in the lineup track Cup 380, which was issued in the amount of 60 cars. The traction control is also a six-way variable affair, allowing either 1, 3, 6, 9, or 12 percent slip, or all the slides in "off" mode.

As for the body kit, the Cup 430 gets an array of aero elements including an ultra-lightweight front clam with unique carbon fiber ducts, new front splitter and air curtain mechanism, lightweight rear clam panel, and a large motorsport wing. In its lightest configuration, the vehicle weighs just 1,056 kg.

Handling-wise, the Exige Cup 430 has things covered thanks to tricks such as a revised steering arm geometry, new Nitron three-way adjustable dampers, and Eibach adjustable front and rear anti-roll bars. The Cup 430 also includes a steel roll-over bar, new seatbelt anchorage frame and a front towing eye as standard.

"This is the vehicle that we have always wanted to build, and I am sure that all Lotus enthusiasts will be delighted with the end product", commented CEO Jean-Marc Gales. Lotus says that the Cup 430 UE already lapped its Hethel test track in one minute 24.8 seconds; that's faster than any other road auto Lotus has put around the track, even beating out the hardcore 3-Eleven by 1.2 seconds. It's available to order now for £99,800 plus on-the-road costs.

Prices will start at £99,800 in the United Kingdom and €127,500 in Europe, depending on the individual country's Value Added Tax system.
