Johnson helmed the upcoming film "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" and obviously had so much fun doing it, he made a decision to write and direct a whole new series for the nostalgic franchise. "We can't wait to continue with this new series of films".

Now, as The Force Awakens sequel approaches its release date, Star Wars newcomer Kelly Marie Tran has made a decision to share a little story about Carrie in an interview with BuzzFeed. You can ride the Starspeeder through the middle of an epic battle in the updated attraction opening at Disneyland park and Disney World's Hollywood Studios on November 17. [The Last Jedi is] not this big adventure that I'm on with John [Boyega].

A lot of hearts were broken when the Star Wars legend passed away a year ago, and The Last Jedi's going to be the last film where fans get to see her in cinemas. Scenes featuring the planet's distinctive cracked surface were mostly shot on location in Bolivia. However, it looks like this time, he is finally letting go of the nostalgia.

Deadline.com reported that Johnson had been courted to direct Star Wars: Episode IX, but noted that this has the potential to be a better long-term bet for the filmmaker and Lucasfilm, taking the Star Wars Universe in a whole new direction through three films.

Up until now, that strategy has worked like a charm, and so long as Lucasfilm keeps the valve sealed - barring the odd TV spot and action pic - we imagine the Star Wars community will be left guessing right up until December 15th. The addition of Crait to Star Tours isn't likely to answer many questions about the movie itself, but it'll probably be a worthwhile update to an already popular ride.
