Here's some seriously exciting news that's going to spice up your life though: all five of members of the band (including Victoria Beckham!) are set to reunite for a TV special and an album in 2018, according to reports.

It had been exceedingly hard the last few years to get any full Spice Girls reunion up and running, especially with Victoria generally holding out from re-joining the group for any sort of performance nostalgia, but sources are now saying that the group has been locked in "secret talks" for months, and it looks like things are FINALLY starting to come together.

The "insider" refers to "secret talks" that began this summer between Beckham, who is married to soccer legend David Beckham, and the other Spice alums: Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell; Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown; Melanie "Sporty Spice" Chisholm; and Emma "Baby Spice" Bunton.

A source told the Sun the five of them have been in "secret talks" since the summer and they are all on board for the reunion.

The quintet is said to be working on a series of projects besides the TV special and tour, so stay tuned.

The news finally puts an end to years of "will they/won't they" rumours, and comes months after reported resistance from Mel C and Victoria to be part of the reunion.

Geri Halliwell said earlier this year her "door is always open" to be with the Spice Girls. It got to the point where I just had to let it go.

Fans of the girl group have expressed their excitement on Twitter. Mel's divorce battle also helped to bring them back together, as did the birth of Geri's son.

Their last performance together was at the London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony.
