On the day he announced a name change to Brother Love, Sean Combs was celebrating his birthday and it seems he chose to end this day with some bang, which he definitely did as many people have been talking about this decision since then.

The rapper and producer, 48, made headlines over the weekend after announcing on Instagram that he would only answer to the name Brother Love. I know he's some kind of singer dude and I couldn't name one of his songs. He advised that he can be addressed with any of his older names as the new title does not count as part of his names. I wouldn't be surprised if he was serious, but due to the amount of backlash he received, chose to backtrack from using the name.

"Due to the overwhelming response from the media out there, and just due to there not wanting to be any confusion...."

Sean "Diddy" Combs has changed his name to "Brother Love" but WWE fans aren't happy.

Diddy seemed very straightforward about his name change on Saturday, November 4. I'm just not who I am before.

On Monday, following some not-so-positive feedback from fans on the Brother Love moniker, he backtracked in an Instagram video.

But Prichard ain't taking Diddy's attempted nickname robbery sitting down - issuing a challenge to meet mano-a-mano inside the ring.

Diddy tapped out on his "Brother Love" shtick QUICK. but the original Brother Love - pro wrestling legend Bruce Prichard - says he still wants to kick his ass!

I think we've all learned a valuable lesson today, which is that you can not play around with Love.
