On Tuesday, McGowan appeared in Loudoun County, Virginia, to accept service of the Airports Authority Police arrest warrant.

UPDATED November 14, 3:30 PM: Actress and activist Rose McGowan was arrested in Virginia for felony possession of a controlled substance on Tuesday.

In recent weeks, McGowan was named in a The New York Times exposé that detailed decades of sexual harassment and assult allegations against Weinstein. She confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that she was referring to disgraced media mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Rose previously speculated her arrest warrant might be in connection with her speaking out about Harvey Weinstein...

The felony charge stems from a police investigation of personal belongings left behind on a January 20 flight that arrived at Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia. "What a load of HORSES-", she wrote.

She tweeted: "Are they trying to silence me?" Over & over I said it.

McGowan had not released a statement about the warrant as of Monday night.

In another tweet she was even more blunt, telling Affleck to "f- off".

"Refusing Weinstein's hush money, Rose McGowan calls out Hollywood", she later tweeted.

She says she only realized that settlement did not include a nondisclosure component this summer, and this month accused the producer of the sexual assault on Twitter.

McGowan is best-known for her role as Paige Matthews in the WB supernatural drama Charmed, between 2001 and 2006.
