Onyekachi Onubogu, has urged the Super Eagles to go for victory against Algeria in their Russian Federation 2018 World Cup qualifier in Constantine on Friday.

"The game against Nigeria is not a friendly match for me it is the first game of the qualifiers for the 2018 African Cup of Nations in Cameroun", he said.

Leon Adeyemi Balogun is likely to wear a protective face mask in action for the Super Eagles against Algeria and Argentina after another cheekbone injury on duty for his German Bundesliga club.

According to Sunday Stephen, Rohr has brought something special to the Nigerian football which will go a long way in helping the country to reclaim her rightful position in world's football.

" We always play to make good games and good results, but it's an opportunity for us to see some players who didn't play so much during the qualifiers because we have our team, and now we have six injuries, so it will be at least six changes".

"They have a new coach (Rabah Madjer ) and they are playing at home so they will be very aggressive. We had three days to prepare for Algeria".

"I am not happy that I won't be part of the games, especially against Argentina but that's one of those things in football", Ighalo said philosophically.

On the worldwide friendly against Argentina next Tuesday in Krasnodar, Rohr believes the match will serve several purposes as the team prepares ahead of the 2018 World Cup finals.

"So, it's already a big preparation for the World Cup".
