Once the change was counted, he was cashed out and left.

The gentleman continued to apologize to Bowlin and the cashier, but the two reassured him there was no rush and it was okay.

The cashier then held his hands and said, "This is not a problem, honey".

According to the viral post, the cashier shook her head and replied, "You shouldn't have to thank me, baby". "It wasn't a big deal to her because that's obviously just who she is".

On Facebook on November 9, 2017, Spring Herbison Bowlin shared a photo of another customer's encounter during lunchtime at a Mississippi Wal-Mart.

The cashier intervened and assured him that everything was going to be okay. Bowlin said the exchange made her feel hopeful, adding it's a lesson we all can learn from. "Compassion like that has a way of changing hearts".
