After briefly appearing at the end of The Force Awakens, audiences will finally be reunited with Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Today's spot leans into one of the more intriguing narrative threads that could be included in Rian Johnson's The Last Jedi: the battle between light and dark for the soul of Rey (Daisy Ridley). It's very important for Luke to feel grounded and feel like he has a family. I mean, I loved that character. The real bond is that they're Luke and Leia.

It's not clear what this something else is, but you then see villain Supreme Leader Snoke.

Called Vulptices (the singular form is Vulptex, taken from the Latin word for fox, vulpes, by LucasFilm story group member Pablo Hidalgo), the crystal foxes are from the mineral-rich world of Crait, glimpsed in The Last Jedi trailers as Rebel ships skim over the planet's salt flats raising red dust.

The promo mill on Star Wars: The Last Jedi is going roundly ahead of the film's premiere next month, and even though we've seen some great footage in the various trailers and promos released so far, a new TV spot centering on John Boyega's Finn just revealed a key moment from the sequel. The film is the next chapter in the ongoing Skywalker saga. The modus operandi has been to have everything connect but not in an intrusive way- one that feels more natural to reward the more hardcore fans as well as to intrigue new fans.
