Kendall Jenner beats out Gisele as highest paid model

For the first time in years, Gisele Bundchen is not Forbes highest-earning model in the world. Gisele's earning dipped 43 per cent since her last year's paycheque of $30.5 million as she took home $17.5 million this year.

Bundchen was unseated from the top spot on Forbes' annual list for the first time since 2002.

With social media being credited for Jenner's biggest earnings, as reported by Forbes, which quoted Ivan Bart, president at IMG Models, as saying, "This year's list is dominated by Insta-girls, including the Instagram-famous sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid".

So how did Kendall make ₹142 crore in a year?

Earnings are based on the income the models obtained from cosmetics, fragrance and other contracts. The model made €14.6 million in the past year.

Kendall reportedly earned a staggering €18.7 million in 2017 thanks to her campaign coups and her social media endorsement deals.

And plus-size model Ashley Graham has also made it onto the Top 10 chart, as she has modelled for Alexander Wang, and launched a variety of clothing lines including a denim collection with Marina Rinaldi, as well as a swim and lingerie capsule.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Gigi Hadid are both in joint place on the list as they raked in $9.5 million from projects this year, whilst Bella Hadid brought home $6 million following her partnerships with Dior beauty, Nike and Victoria's Secret. Estimated figures are derived from interviews with the managers, agents and the executives of the brands the models worked for.
