Joel Embiid had the best game of his professional career last night, with 46 points, 15 rebounds, 7 assists and 7 blocks.

According to ESPN Stats & Information, Embiid became the first National Basketball Association player with 40 points, seven assists and seven blocks in the same game since ex-76ers Julius Erving did it against Detroit in 1982.

There were traditional post-up moves!

Sweet heavens. Teammate Ben Simmons, however, wouldn't be content with Embiid doing all of the work.

"Why do I think he had an off night?" asked Lakers coach Luke Walton.

Embiid isn't just an enigma on the court, but off it too, and his walkoff interview following his stunning performance in Staples Center was yet another example of his incredible personality and understanding of what makes social media tick. He is a heckuva shooter ... we tried a couple of different things but you got to tip your hat, he's hitting pull-up 18-footers, they used him as a post-pass man to enter the ball from the post and he is relocating to the strong side corner and hitting 3's. Not far from anyone's mind is the fact that Lonzo Ball has been struggling as of late, averaging 9 points, 6.9 assists, and 1.3 steals per-game while shooting 23 percent from 3-point land.

"It feels great. I love L.A. People think I hate him, but I love him", said Embiid.? "I missed layups, just had a bad night". I can't wait to keep the same momentum. I just wanted to be aggressive.
