President Trump triggered quite a media furor when he said after his meeting with Russian President Putin that he believed President Putin when he assured Mr. Trump that Russia didn't interfere in the 2016 election in the United States.

"Every time he sees me he says, 'I didn't do that, ' and I really believe that when he tells me that, he means it", Trump said of his conversation with Putin. He also told a story about how in 2011 he told Putin that he has no soul.

The stark warning comes after Theresa May sparked a row with Russia by accusing the country of trying to'undermine free societies and'sow discord in the West

To the editor: On Veterans Day, in Vietnam, where we lost 58,000 fearless American soldiers, Trump met with Putin, the autocratic leader of America's greatest adversary.

At a press conference in Vietnam trump said that he agreed with the conclusions of USA intelligence about Russian intervention in elections in the United States. "So you look at that, and you have President Putin very strongly, vehemently says he had nothing to do with them".

"If Donald Trump is under investigation and his administration and people around him, the Russian Federation collusion and whole Mueller investigation, right..." Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper agreed that he "seems very susceptible to rolling out the red carpet and honor guards. and pomp and circumstance". They were respectively responsible for compiling the joint CIA, Office of the Director of National Intelligence and Federal Bureau of Investigation report in January that found the Kremlin worked to hurt Trump's rival Hillary Clinton and help him in the election.

Trump walked back his comments Sunday after coming under fire from former intelligence officials.

Trump's own CIA Director Mike Pompeo and DNI Daniel Coats have both defended the assessment that the Kremlin interfered.

However, he kept calling for a better relationship between the United States and Russian Federation just like he was during the 2016 election campaign. "As to whether I believe it or not, I'm with our agencies - especially as now constituted".

During his interview Monday, Biden also addressed rumors that he will attempt a run for president in 2020.
